Location

 

The Port of Jimenez is located at Barangay Taboo, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental.  It is about 24 km. away from Ozamiz City, 107 km. away from Dapitan City and 3 km. from Jimenez proper.

Lat. 080 19’ 00”  North , Long. 1230  51’ 00”  East  SW facing Iligan Bay, North  coast of Mindanao Island.           

Land access

The port is connected to Jimenez proper with an all weather asphalt road.  Newly completed asphalt road connects it to Ozamiz City in the South and to Dipolog City in the North West.

The Port of Jimenez is reinforced concrete general purpose pier  which caters to the domestic petroleum liquid bulk of Petron, Caltex Phils., Shell Phils., and break bulk copras of the nearby Third Millennium Oil Mills.
The weather in the town of Jimenez belongs to the fourth type of climate that is mild and moderate, where the rainfall is distributed throughout the year.  The town is outside the fringe of the typhoon belt and is seldom affected directly by tropical storms.
